Smile everybody!!!! There’s a new Podcast in Town!

July 18th, 2006

Hi folks!

It’s been way too long, I know. Some family business that interrupted things, plus the end of the season madness. Now of course we’re in the middle of summer and I’m busy biking like a madman and preparing our kitchen for the renovation. JOY!!! So, the new podcast is Watch the Birdie! Please enjoy.

Peace,

The Ghost Podcast

February 5th, 2006

Hi folks. Well, since many of you have asked, no I have absolutely no idea why the latest podcast is not on iTunes. I’m a dedicated Mac head, I own 6 Macs, I love them, but I’ve found that there customer service sucks out loud. So I’ve been trying to figure out why the new one isn’t on there. If I get it figured out ya’ll will know…..

until then,

peace out

I AM THE GREATEST!!! volume 1

December 26th, 2005

Happy Boxing Day folks!

This is always my favourite day of the year, simply because Christmas is over. Can’t tell you how tired I am of the rampant consumerism evident during the so-called Advent time. I keep threatening to move to a predominantly Muslim country around this time every year. Yikes.

On a happier note - the next podcast can be found here. It’s the first volume of a new series that I’ve started. Hope ya’ll enjoy it.

Peace out

Help our friends down south

September 6th, 2005

Sorry there’s been no posting folks, but I’ve been busy getting ready for the season. But this topic is too important not to post: All during the middle and late 90’s I used to regularly fly down to New Orleans to conduct the Louisiana Symphony. I have a lot of great memories of those days, and the folks @ the LPO are real intrepid musicians, running their own orchestra, and surviving and even thriving when other orchestras have lost their way.

Now much of their lives are in shambles. Hurricane Katrina effected them as it did everyone else. But in true LPO spirit they are surviving, and I’m very happy to report that the music world has rallied to help our colleagues with offers of jobs, gigs, and places to stay. My friend (and the first guest commentator on Classical Connections) Drew McManus has set up the following site - as a clearing house for offers of support. If anyone has any time, space, etc., for our fellow musicians please visit this page and post.

Even if you don’t have something particularly musical please donate to relief efforts for Hurrican Katrina. Every little bit will help.

Thanks,

Bill

……. and a week goes by…..

August 28th, 2005

Well, one certainly expected the podcast universe to catch up by now, but that’s simply not the case. I have no idea why Classical Connections is not yet available on iTunes or the other podcast directories. I shall make enquiries in the morning and see if I can get some action out of folks. Meanwhile, working hard on #2 ……. The Day the World Changed……...

Still no sign……

August 23rd, 2005

Still no sign of the podcast from iTunes. Don’t know what to tell you. Usually the Mac folk are better than that. We’ll just hae to see.

WHERE’S THE PODCAST??????

August 23rd, 2005

Ok, Ok everybody, let’s not panic here. The podcast is here in downloadable form, but it hasn’t appeared in iTunes yet. They want to validate and make sure that podcasts aren’t linked to Al Qaeda or somesuch, and one can hardly blame them. So when it appears in iTunes I’ll post it here.

Meanwhile, thanks to those of you who have tuned in. Please pass the word.
