The After-School Supplemental Program is the heart of Classical Connections and where the most progress can be made towards filling in the gaps left behind by a public education. The program follows a classical curriculum and focuses on areas that make the most difference as students grow: writing, reading comprehension, grammar, recitation, and nature study. Students come 1 hour each week during the school year. Classes are offered Tuesdays 3:15-4:15, 4:30-5:30; Wednesdays 3:15-4:15, 4:30-5:30 and will start January 2016. This first school year will serve grades 1 and 2, and the program will grow and expand with this age group.
The After-School Classical Program is $315 per semester.
All types of media have the potential to influence children’s hearts and minds, so reading the right kinds of books is instrumental in developing right thinking and character. The reading program offers an approved reading list, incentives for reading a certain number of books per semester, and access to our growing library of books from the approved list. Students enrolled in the after-school program are automatically enrolled in the reading program. Others may join the reading program for $15 per semester.
CC Summer Camp incorporates classical education into fun and engaging activities. The camp features a different theme each day that revolves around a book from the CC Reading List. The activities for the day include reading activities, writing exercises, science experiments, nature study, outdoor play, and art activities. Camp is offered two different weeks during the summer; the schedule is announced in the Spring, and registration begins in March.
The Classical Connections Summer Camp costs $150 per week.
